The project

The RA is an 83-year-old not-for-profit organization that operates a 150,000 sq. ft, 40-acre multi-sport, and recreation facility, located in the heart of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.   In addition to numerous sports, recreation, fitness and social activities and programs, the RA facility also incorporates the House of Sport, an unparalleled, cost-efficient, collaborative workspace for numerous provincial and national sports organizations, as well as several world-class health and wellness clinics.

This project will transform several decades of legacy energy equipment by providing a brand-new modern heating plant, renewed and upgraded heating distribution, complete conversion to low energy lighting and full integration with a state-of-the-art building automation system to centrally control all equipment and optimize energy consumption in all corners of the RA’s extensive facility.
